Teena Raju’s (b. 1984, India) mixed-media art with different glass forms is a personal reflection of the world around her. Drawing inspiration from the Universe, Nature’s vibrant colours and monochromatic expression in her abstracts, and her travel experiences, she creates visually striking art deeply connected to her experiences. She hopes these universal elements resonate with viewers, creating a sense of connection and familiarity. Teena’s journey from a physics enthusiast in school to a graduate engineer, trained to handle glass as a medium during her personal time and weekends; today, she interweaves her knowledge into her artwork, creating a unique blend of creativity and precision. Teena lives in Singapore, and to her, the journey as an artist has just begun. She has exhibited her works at acclaimed art fairs such as the Affordable Art Fair and World Art Dubai, and exhibitions in Singapore.
"In the stillness of my mind, in the quiet moments, I surrender to creating. Using vibrant nature colours, I bring to life the experiences around me. Always seek to learn and create. Inspiration is just around you and IN YOU; look within, and you will find what you’re looking for. Be imaginative, innovative and experiment with different mediums, which I hope the viewer(s) can see in my work."
