Artist Statement

Black Lily 1 depicts the soaking of the sunset, drenched in exhaustion after exuding all its brilliance to create a world of order and calmness amidst the glooming oppression of the sun. Black Lily 2 expresses the momentary embracing of the peaceful clouds, anchoring fragile but rooted stems. Neither in shock or in denial of the dark skies that will always loom beyond. Essentially, this series of work is about resilience in an ever-changing landscape.“
