Samantha Redfern is a British born artist now living in Singapore as a permanent resident. Graduating in 2004 with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Bath Spa University. In 2019 she was signed to her first art gallery and partook in several art shows in Singapore. She has since gone on to exhibit in many more exhibitions both locally and overseas working with a number of local and international galleries in Europe and Asia. Samantha has since leased her own art studio/gallery on Haji Lane, where she creates her pieces and displays her work.
Artist Statement
I am an artist who finds so much inspiration from nature. I spend a lot of time walking and observing flowers and trees. My work is an expressive representation of how I see the natural landscape and how it makes me feel emotionally. I am an artist who likes to explore different mediums in my work as well as texture. I enjoy using fluid, free and expressive brush strokes to allow me to represent movement in these pieces. I also use textures help to create intrigue and depth.
