Maya Gallery is proud to announce the appointment of our gallery director, Masturah Sha'ari, as Chairperson of the working committee for Voices & Visions, the fourth edition of the Singapore Women Artists Exhibition. Organised by the Federation of Art Societies Singapore (FASS) in conjunction with International Women’s Day, Voices & Visions will feature more than 100 female artists with works ranging from painting and batik to ceramics. Held at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, Voices & Visions aims to reflect the inspirations and ideas of women artists. It is an opportunity to encourage a sense of empowerment and recognition of women’s achievements in art.
Voices & Visions also features iconic artists such as Chen Cheng Mei, Lai Foong Moi and Rosma Mahyudin Guha, all who have greatly contributed to the local art scene. The exhibition will be officiated by Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry for Health and MP for Jurong GRC (Bukit Batok East) in a private opening on 6 March 2021.
