My name is Riz. I have Motor Neurone Disease.
Malay translation by Asri Sunawan
Design & Illustration by Khairudin Saharom
Foreword by Dr Chan Yeow
Riz’s world collapsed when he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease or MND. Due to his illness, Riz’s father likens his situation to that of a baby who needs help all the time. Once a television personality and community activist, Riz is now bed-bound and moves around in a wheelchair. Although his vocal cords are affected, Riz uses his unique ‘voice’ to spread awareness about MND. Beaten in health but not in spirit, Riz’s story is one of strength, patience and determination. Would you like to have a friend like Riz?
ALL PROCEEDS from the sale of the book will be donated to Riz Sunawan to help him pay his medical expenses. A portion will also be donated to Motor Neurone Disease Association of Singapore.
