Maya Gallery is proud to present new, exploratory works of contemporary art by 11 emerging artists with determination and drive to make it big in the art world. Their thought-provoking yet refreshing works reflect their responses to the environment, social issues, and desire to be understood. Featuring artists originating from Singapore, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and South Korea, Embryonic suggests the birth and development of their journeys of artistic interpretation and expression.

Embryonic opens during Singapore Art Week 2014.
Maya Gallery is a participant in ART IN MOTION), organised by Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS). ART IN MOTION will showcase a slice of contemporary Asian and international art at 13 galleries dotted around Singapore\'s dedicated cultural and heritage districts. Singapore Art Week (13 to 19 January) goers can also look forward to a week of pop-up installations and events as art gallery clusters transform into platforms of creative collaborations highlighting rising and renowned artists and galleries in Singapore.
Located in historic Kampong Glam, Maya Gallery is dedicated to promote high quality art works by Singapore and international artists. The gallery presents exhibitions curated with both contemporary and heritage content, and holds regular dialogues with artists, collectors and practitioners. With a focus on supporting local arts locally and abroad, Maya Gallery collaborates with international galleries, institutions and organisations, and participates in overseas art fairs. It also provides consultancy and expertise in art, music and design.
