SINGAPORE – Maya Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in Edition(ed) by Art Galleries Association SIngapore (AGAS). As an AGAS member, we will be presenting black and white photography works by Singaporean photographer Billy Mork.
Opening 17 July at Artspace @Helutrans, this second annual exhibition by AGAS sees 23 participating galleries showcasing over 70 works ranging from photographs to prints and sculptures to digital works by more than 30 artists. The exhibition\'s focus on editioned works create opportunities for collectors, art enthusiasts and students discover the history and techniques of different mediums. The works will be for sale with prices ranging from $900 to $83,000.
On 19 July, there will be a Saturday Matinee which includes an exhibition walkthrough and panel discussion on the history and currency of editions, from its origins in printmaking to new developments in contemporary practices. The exhibition is on till 20 July, 2014.
Billy Mork is a Singaporean photographer with a vast experience in archival quality Fine Art Black-and-White analogue photography and printing. With a background in advertising, photography and architecture, Billy sees things around him from a design perspective. His works encapsulates the beauty of nature and landscape, and the local people of the country where he is taking the shots. His photography of horses are especially mesmerising and dangerous at the same time, taken from a close distance, yet is filled with poetry.
